Q39’s new Lawrence location has officially opened on Mach 10th. The restaurants opening marks a meaningful expansion for the celebrated Kansas City BBQ brand. From her origin story of being a server at another Lawrence-local BBQ restaurant, Kelly Magee has now opened the barbecue restaurant’s third location in a city with personal ties to her family. The opening also honored her late husband, Rob Magee, whose legacy has had a huge impact on the Q39 we know today. The thoughtfully designed space accommodates dine‑in, carryout, and catering, with the interior featuring the restaurant’s rich history.
